At the western end of Latrobe Valley with beautiful 19th century buildings and Old Gippstown, Gippsland's Heritage Park. The town offers good shopping and dining, with nearby bushland and lakes eg. Edward Hunter Bush reserve for walks or cycling or visit Old Brown Coal Mine Museum in Yallourn North.

Second weekend of September due to Fathers Day on the first weekend. (Note the dates above are showing the month first.)
Moe is 134 Km via the M1, about an hour 40min drive from Melbourne, take the first exit off the M1 onto Lloyd Street, then turn left across the train crossing, left at Waterloo Road where you will see the sign and turn right into Mitchells Road.
Cost is $30 per night with $10 per night extra adults and $5 for children.
